Located on a B road that leads down to the nature reserve at Arne and the worlds second largest natural harbour at Poole, the RSPB nature reserve which extends over several thousand acres and envelops Bankgate is a birdwatchers paradise. Local wildlife will often be spotted in the woodland and heathland beyond the cottageThe cottage offers country seclusion but is very short drive from all local attractions. Corfe Castle is a short drive away through Hartland Moor. Public houses can be found in Wareham & Corfe Castle with a larger selection of eateries in the seaside town of Swanage which hosts a range of activities for all the family including award winning sandy beach, museum, gardens, sport facilities, sailing, diving, golf and a range of shops. The Saxon walled town of Wareham is a ten minute drive away, relax on the Quay or take a pleasure cruise onto Brownsea Island and Poole Harbour.
