Purbeck View Cottage is situated just off a quiet leafy lane in wooded countryside with extensive country walks on the edge of the Isle of Pubeck, adjacent to Bulbury Golf Course, which is open to the public. Part of a barn conversion retaining the character of the original building, incorporating oak beams. Close to the village of Lytchett Matravers, it is a short car journey to Swanage and the Heritage coastline with local attractions including Monkey World, Steam Fair at Tarrant Hinton, Tank Museum, Farmer Palmers and historic County town of Dorchester, Thomas Hardy’s Casterbridge (Thomas Hardy’s cottage Clouds Hill.)On the ground floor the large open plan lounge/diner with television and video. Through to modern fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge and freezer. Also roomy shower room. On the first floor two bedrooms, one double room (tv) enjoying country views, one twin (full size bunk beds). Central heating. All linen and heating included in the price of your holiday. Ample off road parking. Guests are welcome to bring one extra bed for the twin room.

Access Statement for Purbeck View Cottage Lytchett Matravers

We are located off a quiet road, up a lane way, about 5 miles from the beach. The property is a 20minute walk from the bus stop. Taxis are available for the local train station. Purbeck View is not suited to people with wheel chairs, as there is steps up to the front door.

Purbeck View does not have a ground floor bedroom.

Pre Arrival
You can park along side the patio, and there is room for 2 cars.
The nearest shops are 2 miles away
The nearest bus stop is a 20 minutes walk.
There are several taxi companies that will pick you up.

Arrival and car parking facilities
To ensure your accommodation is ready we ask that guests do not normally arrive before 3 pm.

Main Entrance and Lounge
The main entrance is up 3 steps. The door leads to the lounge, which the kitchen leads of the lounge to the right.
There is an information folder in the corner of lounge be hind the television. The lounge as one sofa and two chairs a pine table and dining chairs and coffee tables. There is also a digi box and DVD and video player.
The lounge has a selection of local information and a few books and games.


The Kitchen
The kitchen is fully fitted with gas cooker fridge microwave and washing machine etc.

WC’S
The toilet is on the ground floor in the shower room, there is no toilet up stairs

Out door facilities

There is a small patio out side the door with a table and four chairs
