Perfect for a family getaway!Entry is into the lounge/dining room which has an integral fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. Stylishly decorated with wooden floors on the ground floor affording a contemporary bright feel.Windjammer has been renovated to a high standard in a fresh and airy modern style. All amenities are well within walking distance of this centrally located cottage; award winning beaches, breathtaking coastal scenery, pleasant gardens, shopping facilities, steam railway and Victorian pier.

Introduction

Our self catering cottage was totally refurbished in 2001. If you have any queries please do call and we look forward to welcoming you.

The cottage comprises an open plan ground floor area with a first floor providing 2 bedrooms and bathroom/wc.

Pre-Arrival

•We are listed on www.dhcottages.co.uk under Windjammer.
•Bookings / enquiries can be made via email, fax, and telephone.
•The nearest bus stop is at the bottom of the road.
•The nearest train station is Wareham and is 10 miles away.
•There are accessible taxis or a number of buses available.
•Wheelchairs and other aides and equipment, can be hired by arrangement.
•Tesco direct can arrange for shopping to be delivered.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

•Luggage can be unloaded at the front common entrance door. There are however, parking restrictions.
•There is on street parking in adjoining streets, it is not possible to park outside the front of the property.
•There is a pay and display car park a short walk away at the end of the high street.

Entrance

•The entrance door is level with the pavement and has a single inward opening door. There is a small threshold.

Open Plan Dining / Living area

Dining area
•Rectangular table seats 6 (moveable side to side)
•Chairs (all moveable) - 6 chairs with which have no arms. •Flooring is vinyl.

Living area
•Furniture is moveable and there are plenty of non feather cushions provided. There is a three seater settee and two armchairs.
•Teletext TV with DVD and video is provided with remote control.
•Flooring is vinyl.

Kitchen
•Standard work height units.
•Oven door is drop down.
•Flooring is vinyl.
•Good contrast between floor, cupboards and other surfaces.
•Fridge with small freezer is located in the understairs cupboard.

Laundry
•There is a standard size washing machine, which is front loading, provided in a small understairs cupboard.

Bedrooms

General:
•Non Feather duvets and pillows provided in each room.
•Sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases are available to hire.
•Accessed via a flight of carpeted stairs with a 90 degree turn at the bottom and top.

Main double room: Kingsize bed 1600mm wide with space each side.
•Carpet flooring.

Twin room: Single bunk bed 900mm wide with single 900mm wide pull out bed beneath. Upper bunk accessed by vertical ladder on the side the bed.
•Carpet flooring.

Bathroom / WC

•Room comprises toilet and wash hand basin.
•Rectangular bath with shower mixer tap. Step access required over bath edge.
•There are no support handrails.
•Vinyl tiled flooring.
•Good colour contrast between floor and walls.

Shop
•A newsagent is on the corner of Taunton Road and High street. The high street offers a number of well known retailing shops. There is also Somerfield and Co-op food stores.
