Lavender Cottage is one of three Purbeck stone thatched cottages in the pretty village of Osmington. The cottage is within a short drive of the coastal path which can be joined at Osmington Mills, which is also home to the Smugglers Inn. The coastal path provides walkers and nature enthusiasts with stunning scenery and is a haven for wildlife. The larger seaside town of Weymouth with its many attractions is also a short drive away. You can enjoy fresh milk every morning, which can be purchased from the local Craigs Dairy, a convenience store and lovely family pub are within easy walking distance.

The cottage boasts all modern facilities and a particularly spacious lounge with French Doors which open out upon a lovely cottage style garden. The internal décor is of a good standard with four stars awarded by the English Tourist Board.

Introduction
Our self-catering cottage is an end terrace modern thatched property with access at the front of the property.

Pre-Arrival
There is one parking space at the cottage under a carport, the approach being on a slight incline (gravel)
The nearest train station is in Weymouth 5 miles away and taxis are usually available at the station.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
Luggage can be unloaded at the front door of the cottage.
The parking area is under a carport approx 25 metres from the front door.

Main Entrance & Reception
The entrance at the front has no steps which leads into a hallway with a quarry tiled floor. There are doors off the hall, which lead into the lounge, kitchen and downstairs toilet. The enclosed carpeted stairs lead up to the first floor, where all the bedrooms are situated. The main bathroom is on the first floor, which has a free, standing bath with a shower over. The ensuite shower room is situated off the master bedroom, which has an enclosed shower cubicle.
The rear double doors (narrow) lead from the lounge onto the rear garden via a step down. There is a large flat paved area for sitting at the rear and also a lawn, which is reached via 4 steps upwards. The front of the lawn is on slope hence the need to use the steps.
The floors are carpeted throughout apart from the kitchen, downstairs toilet, main bathroom and ensuite shower room. Which are quarry tiled.
