2 Bedrooms. F/Floor King and twin room. Lounge, TV, DVD, CD Stereo. Kitchen, fridge/freezer, electric range cooker, dishwasher, microwave and dining table. Utility room with washer/drier. Gr/floor shower room. F/Floor bathroom with full suite. Garden, patio area with furniture & BBQ, raised borders and level gravelled area. Central and underfloor heating. Woodburner with free logs. Parking (1). Linen included all bookings (not towels). Travel cot (no linen), push chair and booster seat provided. One pet only.
Mill Cottage dates back to 1750 and retains all its characterful low ceilings, flagstone floors, cottage windows and cosy ambiance, whilst having been tastefully refurbished to provide all modern comforts. The cottage is in a lovely location and has a sunny and private garden. Walk out the front door to buy the morning papers or stroll out onto Wareham Common through to Wareham Forest with miles of footpaths.
Wareham itself is a traditional market town with a picturesque Quay, from where you can hire a rowing boat or take a trip around Poole Harbour. The town has both a Saturday street market and a farmers market, numerous restaurants and shops and its own cinema.
A short drive will take you to many attractions including the National Trusts Corfe Castle, sandy beaches at Arne, Swanage, Studland or Poole, thousands of acres of nature reserves at Hartland, Arne or Stoborough a delight for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The County town of Dorchester is easily accessible as is the larger town of Bournemouth with seven miles of sandy beaches.
Guests should be aware that the access to the parking area is restricted for larger vehicles. The stairs in the cottage are fairly steep.
