River View Cottage is an old semi detached cottage retaining original features whilst being modernised to the highest standard. The cottage oozes character and is set in the historic village of Tolpuddle famous because of the Tolpuddle Martyrs said to be the founders of Trade Unionism. It is within easy reach of the coast at Lulworth, Osmington or Weymouth or indeed of the County Town of Dorchester which has a good selection of shops, supermarkets and museums. Thomas Hardys Cottage is located close by.The village is attractive and traditional, surrounded by beautiful English countryside. A pub is located in the village. The village of Puddletown approx 2 miles away has a good village shop.

Branksome Chine is fabulous and relatively quiet! Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are definitely worth a visit. As the previous guests said, a pleasure to return to the comfort of this lovely cottage after a busy day exploring Dorset."

Introduction

Our self catering cottage is a semi detached property with part of the lower part of the house built in 1734 with access to the front and rear and side of the property. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do call. We look forward to welcoming you.

Pre-Arrival

•We have a website with our agent Dorset Cottage Holidays.
•Bookings / enquiries can be made via email or phone.
•The nearest bus stop is close by in the same road as the property.
•The nearest train station (Dorchester) is 5 miles away.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

•Luggage can be unloaded at the front or side of the cottage
•There is on street parking at the front (no dropped kerb)
•There is gravel parking for 2 cars at the side (accessed through a gate)
•The entrance at the front is level.
•The entrance at the side has a step onto the patio from the parking area.
•Parking is approximately 4 - 5 metres away from the side entrance.
•The cottage is approached from the garden.
•Access to the rear entrance is via the garden, patio and one step.
