Little Worgret Manor.
Introduction
Our self-catering house is a detached property built in approximately 1936 and is positioned within a half acre garden predominantly laid to grass leading to a paddock and ménage. The house is surrounded by a gravel drive and with a mature garden including a mix of rhododendron and fir hedging intermingled with four foot fencing.
The house is accessed from the road via a five bar gate which leads to a gravel path to the car parking area at the front of the house.
There is an outside wooden table and chairs (which seats 8) and a garden bench again the barn wall which seats 3
The house is very children friendly. An antique green wooden Wendy house is positioned by the horse paddock complete with children’s toys
There are many beautiful walks possible from the property. The best route is to walk through the horse paddock by the ménage and then veer right through the gate at the end of the paddock. This leads to Wareham Common. Please take special care if there are horses in the field and dogs should be then kept on leads. Look out for rabbits, foxes, badgers, the occasional hare, ponies and even sometimes deer. From here it is easy to access the Piddle River with swans, curlews, ducks, minnows, kingfishers etc and there are walks galore taking you to Wareham Forest (over 1,000 acres of maintained forestry).
We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do call.
We look forward to welcoming you.
