2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin. Gas central heating. Kitchen: Electric oven, gas hob, fridge, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave and dining table and chairs. Lounge: Small TV with DVD player, Open fire. G/Floor WC. F/Floor bathroom with full-size bath and mains shower into bath, WC. Small screened seating area for use within a pretty courtyard garden, garden is not secure with possible access to a small pond. Freezer in outhouse. Parking: 1 allocated space. Bed linen provided.
The cottage is in a terrace of Georgian houses on West St, located in the Saxon walled town of Wareham: from your door walk into the picturesque town, down to the Quayside where you can enjoy a glass of wine overlooking the gently-flowing River Frome. Take a boat trip along the River to Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island, or enjoy a stroll along the river’s edge. The Rex cinema is a delight close by. Farmers’ market on a Thursday, general market on Saturdays.
Georgian Cottage is an excellent base from which to explore the Isle of Purbeck and the beautiful County of Dorset. A short drive will take you to many local attractions including Monkey World (4m), Tank Museum (6m), Lulworth Cove (5m), the imposing ruins of Corfe Castle dominating its village (5m) or Adventure Farm (4m). Sandy beaches at Swanage, Studland and Sandbanks are within easy reach as are the larger towns of Poole and Dorchester. The Jurassic Coast is close by and has both World Heritage and World Destination status: the area is a walker’s paradise.
