The Owls Nest offers the very highest standard of accommodation with marble staircase, sumptuous bedrooms and ‘toys’ for every member of the family. Your accommodation lies in the exclusive riverside village of Ridge, just one mile from the quaint market town of Wareham. The Owls Nest is a short walk from the River overlooking beautiful countryside.

The Owls Nest is decorated in a sophisticated contemporary style with balconies from the kitchen and master bedroom, which overlook open countryside. The secluded garden has recently been landscaped and ‘hides’ a lovely summerhouse.

Sailors can moor at the nearby Ridge Marina, for the less adventurous pleasure boats travel from Wareham out into Poole Harbour and onto the National Trusts’ Brownsea Island. Wareham has much to offer from cosy public houses to fine dining at The Priory. There are plenty of attractions locally and some lovely sandy beaches at Swanage and Studland. Walkers can stroll from the holiday home onto Stoborough Heath, Arne Nature Reserve and onto the pretty village of Corfe Castle.

The house was fantastic what a great find! The extra little touches left at the house was a lovely touch much appreciated by all of us as we got to the cottage very late on the Friday evening thank you! We all loved the house and the kids were especially overjoyed to see the huge TV setup they thought they were at the cinema... We grownups loved the space, peace and quiet and the gorgeous kitchen! The house was very well kitted out throughout and I can\'t wait to stay again!!! Fantastic house close to so many lovely places.

Introduction:

Our self-catering house was built in the 1960’s. It is detached set into a hill with access from front only. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to call .We look forward to welcoming you.

The House comprises of two levels. On the upper level main entrance large kitchen dinner with balcony, master bedroom with on suit and balcony, open plan living dinner
With sliding doors to garden terrace. Utility room, cloakroom. From the main hallway leads down open plan staircase to two double bedrooms (one with a single also). Door access to garden from hallway in this area. On the other side of the house with access also from upper level hallway, doorway leading to staircase down to large 2x double beds bedroom with on suite, sliding doors onto garden terrace.

Pre –Arrival:

1. We are listed on www.dhcottages.co.uk under Owls Nest.
2. Bookings/ enquiries can be made via email, fax and telephone.
3. The nearest bus stop is on Nutcracker Lane 4/5 minutes walk from house.
4. The nearest Train Station is Wareham, which is 2 miles from the house.
5. There are accessible Taxis and a bus service.
6. There are two supermarkets in Wareham town Sainsbury’s and the Co –Op.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities:

1. Luggage can be unloaded at the top of the hill in a courtyard to rear hallway entrance.
2. There is parking for 2/4 cars on driveway and parking at the main entrance for 2 cars.

Entrance:

There are two hallway entrances on main level one via steps to side of house and the other to side rear up a hill driveway. There is also door access into 2x 2 double bedrooms via sliding doors and an entrance to the 2x 2 double bedrooms by door.

Open Plan Dining/ living:

Dining area:

1. Circular table in living / dining area to seat 8/9 people.
2. Chairs all movable 8 chairs, which have arms.
3.Flooring is wood.

Living Area:

1. Living area with dining area L shaped.
2 Movable 3 chairs and 2/3-seater sofa. Coffee table.
3. Plasma TV DVD Player remote control.
4. Flooring wood.
5. Two sets of sliding opening doors into courtyard garden.

Kitchen:

1.Kitchen has standard height worktops.
2.Gas cooker with 6 ring and large oven. Oven door drop down opening.

4.Sliding doors leading to balcony area with wooden table and 3 chairs.
5.Dining table also in Kitchen to seat 6/8 people. Chairs without arms.

Laundry:

1.There is a Utility Room located on the main level with washing machine

4.Under worktop freezer.
5.Separate Cloakroom.


Bedrooms:

1. Pillows and Duvets and bedding provided for all beds.
2. 1 medium towel and hand towel provided per quest.
3. Shower wash provided.
4. Toilet roll provided.

Bedrooms are in three different areas
a) Master bedroom with on suite shower room and balcony on main level.
b) 2 x two double bedrooms 1 with a single bed also and full bathroom, accessed from open plan staircase next to master bedroom. External door to garden also in hallway of this area.
C) 2 x 2 double beds bedroom and on suite shower room, access from enclosed staircase next to rear side entrance. External access to this area via sliding glass doors to front garden area.


Bathrooms:

1. There is one full bathroom with bath shared with 2 x 2 double bedrooms on lower level.
2. There are 2 x on suite shower rooms to master bedroom and 2 x 2 double bedrooms.
3. There is a cloakroom off the utility room.

Outdoor Facilities:

1.There is a front and side garden grassed area for sitting and playing games.
2.There is a courtyard terrace to rear with pagoda and sun loungers.
3.There is a BBQ.
4.There is a viewing / sun terrace area to the rear of the property access via stone pathway.

Shops:

1.Wareham town is a 4/5-minute drive or 20 min walk down river pathway. There is a selection of gift shops food shops restaurants hardware fishing tackle etc.
