'A rare treasure' nestled on a leafy lane. This substantial detached family holiday home offers ample accommodation
for all the family in a rural location, close to the beach and the village of Studland. It is decorated and furnished to a very high
standard and although not yet independently graded Dorset Cottage Holidays have no hesitation in saying that Heath Lodge is of a good four
star standard. All the rooms are generously proportioned and the whole house has a light and airy feel. The gardens, both front
and back are bathed in dappled sunlight and both can be enjoyed as seating areas or the rear has a lawn for a play area.
Through the five bar gate you will find a leafy lane that leads directly to National Trust heath land, which offers
a wealth of walking and cycling tracks and some amazing views of Poole Harbour. A gentle stroll in the opposite direction will take you to
the village shop, Bankes Arms public house and the sandy beaches of Studland bay, where – for some of the year – water sport facilities are
on offer. Studland stables are also within walking distance and the renowned Isle of Purbeck golf club is an easy drive away. Corfe Castle
is accessible by foot, car or via the steam train from Swanage (3 miles). In Swanage you will find a range of shops, restaurants and bars
along with another sandy beach, museum and diving school. Just across the chain-link ferry at the mouth of Poole harbour is the exclusive
resort of Sandbanks and further on are Poole and Bournemouth. Other attractions in the area include The Saxon walled town of Wareham, the
county town of Dorchester with its dinosaur museum and Monkey World.
