The farmhouse style kitchen is the heart of this delightful home and features a focal log burner, perfect for those crisp winter evenings. The double aspect allows the morning sun to fill the room while breakfast is enjoyed around the refectory dining table. There is a comfortable and snug lounge complete with cosy log burning stove and a quaint sunroom overlooking the common. On the first floor there are three light and spacious bedrooms, two of which have ensuite bathrooms. Views of the rolling Purbeck hills and countryside can be enjoyed from all bedrooms.
Step outside the back door and you will find the romantic National Trust Corfe Castle ruins. A flat walk across the common leads to the delightful playpark and village amenities including bakery, village store, traditional sweet shop, a choice of pubs/restaurants and delightful tea rooms. You can even take a step back in time and visit the quaint model village or hop on board the historic steam train, running from Corfe Castle to Swanage.
Guests should note that in keeping with the era, this cottage stands behind another house and is accessed via a rather unusual thoroughfare passage and pathway. The Halves affords quiet and privacy away from the road. Non allocated parking can be found on the surrounding roads.
