THE COAST - Dorsets Jurassic coastline has been awarded World Heritage Site Status. Long
sandy beaches can be found at Bournemouth, Studland, Swanage & Weymouth with many smaller beaches in between. A large number
of coves, stacks and cliffs form the dramatci coastline features in many films and tv programmes. World famous Lulworth Cove
& Durdle Door are well worth a visit.
COUNTRYSIDE - Much of the county is designated as of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Worth a special mention is the Isle of
Purbeck renowned for its differing natural habitats. Much of the County remains unspolit with many small quaint villages,
country lane and market towns. The only larger towns are Bournemouth, Poole & Weymouth. |
