Church Cottage Access Statement


Our self-catering cottage is in the Old Studland conservation area surrounding the 11th Century Church.

Located on an elevated ¾ acre site overlooking Studland bay, there are views of Old Harry Rocks and the Isle of Wight from all seaward facing windows on both the ground and first floor.

Arrival and Parking:
Access for parking for two cars is via the lower drive which is locate immediately adjacent to the entrance to the National Trust car park and the Public footpath to the church. NB. THE GARAGE IS IN USE BY THE OWNERS FOR STORAGE VIA THE UP AND OVER MAIN DOOR.

Please note if you are bringing a dog with you, they are restricted to the conservatory area of Church Cottage and not use any other internal locations.

The Main Front Door:
The main door is facing the Rockery with one step.

There are nine stone steps from the front gate to the road across which is the public footpath to South and Middle Beaches.

The Porch Entrance:
This is the Rear Entrance to the utility room. Which has a double door access with one step, if required for wheel chairs; the conservatory entrance is also a double door entrance adjacent to the 75cm front door access.

The lower drive has easy access that is level to the front door as an alternative to the front steps. The entire property is covered by automatic security flood lighting to the property and gardens.

Entrance Hall:
There is a carpeted hall with access to the main conservatory, which has a stone floor throughout.

The living rooms and upstairs bedrooms are all fitted with carpet.

The utility room and Kitchen have a wooden polished floor with a small slope from the main sitting room.

There are two staircases accessing the first Floor, which has 4 double bedrooms, large family bathroom and an en suite shower room, there is an additional shower room off the hallway on the ground floor.
