As per our last two visits we had a fantastic week
Lovely cottage in an ideal setting for us, lots of dog walks and superb, friendly and hospitable pub in nearby village. Look forward to a return visit.

Lovely well-appointed thatched cottage, truly rural Dorset.
Nice lounge, 2 very decent bedrooms, good bathroom & bath plus the option of instant shower, and the bonus of a lovely sheltered garden with plenty of space. Very rural feel to this thatched cottage, yet only 5 mins drive from a pub and 15 mins to Dorchester.

An enjoyable relaxing week, in a quaint cottage away from the world.
For peace, quiet and comfort this could be the place for you, a stones throw from the river, 10 minutes from Lidle's supermarket that carries nearly everything. The cottage is 15 minutes from the centre of Dorchester, 5 minutes from the A35 and the A37. On arrival we found the cottage welcoming with huge Ingal nook fireplace with a wood burning stove, two adequate bedrooms, but only one bathroom/toilet, seating for 5/6 adults. We found the kitchen was very well provided for with oven, hob, microwave oven, fridge freezer, dish washer and washing m/c. We spent a very pleasant week staying there, going out to see the sights and the coast, Kingston Lacey house is well worth a trip to see the gardens, the house etc.

Very good holiday cottage in the English countryside
DCH was very prompt in replying to any queries and the booking was fuss-free. Cheeseman's cottage was very traditional and spacious and a very good option for a weekend getaway to the English countryside.

A lovely cottage in a superb area
We have stayed in this cottage before and absolutely love it. It is perfect for the dog with a large garden and is well placed for visiting the surrounding area. The staff at Dorset Cottage Holidays cannot be faulted. Every little detail is covered and all the documentation is sent out on time - all clearly written with all you need to know. Thank You

Delightful thatched cottage in a quiet location.
Warm and cosy, well equipped cottage..Lovely location. Secure garden ideal for our dog. Had a great stay in this quiet part of Dorset.

It was just a great holiday.
Fantastic cottage in a fantastic area.We could not fault the cottage in any way and the surrounding area both coast and country is fabulous. We will certainly visit again.

Lovely situated cottage.
The cottage was in a lovely area. The neighbours were friendly and indicated where we could walk the dog. The cottage could really do with a couple of comfy chairs. One had a really strong smell of dog which is not the owners fault, the other was just tatty and uncomfortable, the settee was fine with just three of us. The garden was very overgrown but was very secure for the dog who loved it. Everything else was very nice.
Mrs Rita Perry
Excellent cottage, probably the best we have rented
We thought the cottage was excellent, well fitted, separate dining table was very welcome. Kitchen compact but everything we needed. Sofa was comfortable. It is also the first cottage that we have rented that came with a piano - my wife practiced her scales on several occasions. Niggles: we found the shower tray small and great care was needed to avoid soaking the floor; it took us several evenings to find that the light switch for the lamps above the fireplace was in the inglenook; and we found the inner door difficult to unlock - the key needed a lot of 'twiddling'

Beautiful cottage in a lovely area
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at cheesemans cottage, amazing large fireplace with wood burner , had everything we needed and the piano was a bonus. Wouldn’t hesitate to return here again in the future

Cheeseman's cottage is cosy and private and perfect for anyone with dogs. The garden is spacious and enclosed and there are walks directly from the house. I have stayed here twice and hope to return as it always proves to be a relaxing and stress free break.Highly recommended.

Fabulous
We had a wonderful time at Cheesemans cottage. Fab log burner and central heating so cosy and warm. Kitchen had everything you could wish for. In beautiful grounds and lots of parking. A surprise bottle of cava left in the fridge for us plus tea, coffee and biscuits and a pint of milk was such a lovely thought from the owners. Our son and his family live near by so we will be staying there several times a year. Can't wait till next time!!

Fabulous week
We had a fabulous weeks stay at the lovely Cheesemans cottage. It was welcoming and warm on arrival and very homely and the cava was a great treat with the cookies, we loved the quirkiness of the cottage and it seemed to have no fault for us to see. the beds were very comfy. kitchen was compact but had every thing we needed for home cooking and drinks etc. Thank you for our stay and we hope to return again to this peaceful but very handy for getting out and about spot.

Lovely cottage full of character
What a lovely and interesting cottage. Very well equipped and much more like a home than so many holiday cottages often are. We were there in very cold weather and it was easy to keep wonderfully warm there. Wonderful old and interesting fireplace and woodburner. Comfortable beds and 2 really decent size bedrooms. We didn’t use the garden much due to weather but enjoyed seeing the birds there.Location very handy for visiting Dorchester and Hardy places. Only drawback we felt was that you could see and hear the main quite busy Yeovil road a bit about quarter of a mile away if you had window open upstairs or were in the garden, but then we are fussy like that and like to get right away from all traffic noise on holidays, and it wasn’t a big issue just worth bearing in mind if you want total quiet.Fabulous having a piano there (needs a tune up though!) and WiFi reception was excellent if you neeed that. DH cottages were brilliant to deal with, helpful friendly and accommodating when we needed to change dates because of snow.
