Lovely cottage in beautiful setting.
Really enjoyed staying here and the cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. Views are lovely and lots to do in the are .I am a little biased as all my childhood holidays were spent in Dorset.!!
Mary Harbron
Beautiful cottag
After a delayd start and a mix up with the keys we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is beautiful, immaculate and well equipped. Situated in a beautiful area and in a lovely rural setting but close enough to a few nice pubs and Corfe Castle. We would definitely recommend Ailwood Cottage and would have no hesitation in returning.

Clean, spacious and well equipped
A lovely quite cottage, perfectly situated for exploring the nearby countryside and beaches
Jim & Elaine gingell
Lovely location and aspect.
Great cottage and beautuful location. We had excellent weather for the time of year and the area is great for birdwatching and wildlife. My only complaint and this applies to nearly all holday lets,in my experience, is that knives are never sharp. Apart from that the cottage was very well equipped.
Mary Harbron
Perfect property, facilities and location.
Ailwood Cottage is beautiful and was absolutely perfect in every way. All the facilities were all there to make your stay very comfortable. The location is perfect. We will definitely be revisiting this in the future. We had a fantastic time at Ailwood Cottage.

Lovely cottage - located in a peacful setting
We really enjoyed our stay at Ailwood Cottage - our accommodation was well presented and equipped . The cottage is positioned in a lovely quiet area and easily accessible to Corfe - Swanage and other areas of interest with lovely countryside .Thank you
Dee
Cosy, well equipped cottage.
Cottage is in a quiet lane with easy access to walks on the downs. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable. Nice and centrally placed for exploring the Purbeck area.
Gail Lawrence
A great cottage in a quiet location
The cottage is down a quiet lane and is well decorated. The bedroom is excellent. The kitchen is well equipped and outside the back door is a decked area with table and chairs. We hoped to use this but the weather was a little too cold during our stay. The owners are in the farmhouse next door and provide a nice welcome basket. They are very friendly and helpful.
Kim Jelleyman
Very neat little cottage
Ailwood Cottage is a very clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage. It is well placed to go walking along the Downs. We walked to Swanage, Corfe and Studland from the cottage with our dog, which in the height of the season is a bonus not to have to try and find a parking space or worry about drinking and driving! A good BBQ is provided but remember to take your own tools as the only utensils in the cottage are plastic! The welcome grocery basket is a lovely thoughtful gesture. Great cottage.
P Baum
Fantastic cottage in a great location
This cottage is perfect for two people. It it not too small or cramped which some two bed cottages can be. It is set in a peaceful location close to attractions. It is an ideal base for walking, which we did a lot of during our stay. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need for a holiday and more. We would happily book again, if we were to visit the area in the future.
Michaela Holliday
A very comfortable cottage in a lovely setting.
The cottage was very clean, tastefully furnished and comfortable. It was well-equipped although the kitchen needed a few more items for easy self-catering (ie for those not wishing to eat out every day). The outside seating area was much enjoyed given the excellent weather. Parking was tricky and some local drivers drove farm and other vehicles too fast on the very narrow approach roads. It is unfortunate that we are confined largely to school holidays to take a break as the area was very busy and it was hard even when walking to avoid the crowds, but there are many beautiful walks within easy reach and from the doorstep.
Sarah Draper
Wonderful, neat and complete cottage
Easily booked complete cottage on a beautiful spot with a beautiful view: Ailwood Cottage. Very friendly owners living next to the cottage. Fully equipped.
Sander
High quality accommodation in ideal location.
We found everything to be of a very high standard in the property and it was a pleasure to stay here. The location makes it easy to get to all the best places, Corfe Castle, the steam train, Swanage and Arne, etc. As it was so very hot (yes really!) owner Claire thoughtfully brought round a lighter weight duvet for us. Next time we are planning to be in the area we will make this our first choice.
Martin C
Lovely, well equipped cottage in rural area.
Lovely clean, well equipped rural cottage close to Corfe Castle. Very comfortable with good quality furniture/bedding etc.Lovely touch with the welcome basket of goodies - very welcome!Lots of great walks from the cottage. Will definitely book again if going to that area.

Cosy, comfortable home away from home
Super lovely, perfectly formed little cottage away hidden away down a small lane. Great location and good parking for one car.

terrific cottage, felt more like home. we would recommend the cottage to any person who might be looking for a cottage in the corfe castle area and liked to have some strenuous walking.

Very comfortable well equipped cottage
Good welcome basket - much appreciated.. Nice to find all the sundry supplies like loo paper, cleaning materials, dishwasher and washing machine tablets, and tea, coffee and sugar all provided! Everything in the cottage good quality too! - very much a home from home. This is the first DCH cottage we have rented with all of these provided - and we have rented three cottages previously - so was a pleasant surprise and much appreciated. It was great to see the owners had gone that little bit further to make sure guests had an enjoyable stay.(My daughter in law found all of these provided in her holiday cottage in Norfolk so perhaps not so unusual these days but appreciated anyway!) Anyway a very pleasant stay. Oh, and we found the owners charming and helpful - and we found the 'Isle of Purbeck and Swanage Guide' provided with the other area activity guides invaluable! Only down-point for us was the lack of a secure yard and grass area for the dog - but we worked around that.
Anthony Cole
Beautiful well equipped and furnished cottage in ideal spot for walking with lovely views!
This was a beautiful cottage which was well equipped with every thing needed for an enjoyable stay! It was well furnished with little finishing touches that made it feel like home! The welcome pack was well recieved and a lovely idea! Claire the owner came to introduce herself, she was extremely friendly and gave us good tips for places to visit, The surrounding countryside was stunning with excellent views and deer and sheep nearby. An excellent base for walkers and cyclists or for just relaxing away from it all. Was sad to leave

Lovely well maintained cottage in beautiful surroundings.
Very impressed with the standard of the cottage, fittings and decor........the welcome pack was a nice touch too. We had booked in order to explore the surrounding area looking at butterflies and nature in general as my partner takes wildlife images.....we had green woodpecker close by ..roe deer in the field opposite and Sika deer on the hill behind ..so that was a bonus !!!! ..... A friend of mine has asked about the cottage and I will have no hesitation in recommending the place . The area was beautiful with varied attractions and superb scenery . Despite the poor weather we had a lovely time and will return one day .
Gale Harris.
An excellent cottage in a lovely situation.
This is our second visit to Ailwood Cottage and as before we had a thoroughly lovely holiday-helped by two weeks of glorious weather! Bill and Claire are warm and friendly but not at all intrusive-there if you want anything or if you like to pass the time of day when you meet them. The situation of the cottage for us- who love to get out and walk-is absolutely ideal and so well situated between Corfe, Swanage and Studland. The walking opportunities are fantastic and Corfe, Swanage and Studland are lovely places to visit and shop. A superb situation and very comfortable cottage-enjoy!
