Church Garden Pavillion 50.643112, -1.948465 Church Garden Pavillion Studland BH10 3AU BH19 3AU (Directions)

This large detached, thatched Garden Cottage is a recent addition to the listed 18C Church Cottage and stands on its own in a large plot.  The garden is tended weekly and is beautifully manicured.  Views to Studland Bay and The Isle of Wight can be enjoyed from this elevated spot.

The name 'Garden Cottage' belies this large, gorgeous, vaulted modern accommodation which has been thoughtfully designed and built using principally French oak. The curved glass frontage brings the beautiful garden into the large lounge.  Access to the large galleried 2nd fully furnished lounge is via the oak stair case and from here you enter the 2nd twin bedroom. This area may also be used as an occasional bedroom, utilising the sofa bed and an adult size Z-Bed (on request).  The ground floor double bedroom has a sea view from its window and its own en-suite bathroom.  In addition there is a shower room for further guests.  The kitchen is fully

equipped and has a stable door to further enjoy the sea views of (on a clear day) the Isle of Wight and the outside space.   All the French oak beams were locally milled at Rempstone.

A short stroll will take you to South Beach where you can then relax all day on the sandy beach. The Middle and Knoll beaches are accessed via the adjacent cliff top path.

Facilities:

1 G/F Double with ensuite & F/F Twin, sofa bed.  Lounge: 2 Stressless armchairs, leather sofa, TV & dining table for up to 6.  Kitchen; Electric oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge & freezer.  Ensuite bathroom & family shower room. Old world charm with modern styling!
It was such a good decision on our part to rent this cottage with the bigger Church Cottage. The style is simply stunning; a real wow factor as you go in. and we loved the large garden, where we had family meals on the fine evenings. Slight disadvantage not having a bathroom upstairs, but when my niece joined us, they did not find it a problem using the family shower room downstairs. Ground floor en suite greatly appreciated by us. We've mentioned the confusion with the hot water timer, and we would appreciate being told the exact timer times, and how we can over-ride it to get hot water at any time. We will not be wasteful with it, but sometimes like a shower later in the evening. We are coming again, so please thank the owners for everything. It was great. Did not want to come home!

Over the years we have stayed at many places on this part of the coast - Knoll House Hotel, manor House Hotel, cottages on the Glebe estate but Garden Cottage is by far our favorite, fabulous scenery, uyou can fall out of bed and onto the beach and the Bankes arms is a 2 minute totter when you don't feel like cooking. We tell all our friends about htis place and cross our fingers they don't book the week we want!! We will be back next year!
