Fabulous!
Absolutely beautiful position, wonderful outlook to the rear of the property with amazing sunsets. Cottage very cosy and homely, plenty of hot water for everyone, heating very efficient. We had a great week and walked every day.

Relaxed and laid back holiday in rural setting
The cottage was spacious and kitchen fully equipped. The location was quiet with beautiful views over the countryside and although in a slightly more remote part of Dorset we found plenty of places to visit. We had a lovely week although weather could have been better toward the end.

Very nice,comfortable and clean.
We enjoyed our stay at the Merlin. Lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful setting. Our only complaint is the size of the tv !! Had to move sofas closer to watch it comfortably. Could do with one slightly larger. We would definitely stay there again though.
Rhonda Mason
Spacious, quiet cottage
Merlins is in a peaceful location where the loudest sound is that of birdsong. The cottage is spacious and well equipped with plenty of room for six people and a good view from the rear of the property.

Cottage was excellent
The Merlin was brilliant. Very clean and comfortable. We did have trouble getting a signal on the television but I understand that this was being dealt with. The only other problem we had was mixed messages about bin day and thermostat instructions but again I understand that these too were being seen to. My only regret is that the time went too quickly and the weather wasn't always kind to us. I would be very happy to recommend the Merlin to other people
Mary Fox
A very nice cottage.
A nice roomy well equipped cottage. It is in a lovely area with lots of footpaths and bridleways. The shed mentioned in the web site was unusable which is unfortunate for cyclists. Two of the settees in the lounge were rather worn and not very comfortable. Otherwise it was very comfortable and we had a lovely time staying there. Thoroughly recommended as a good base for seeing Dorset.
