Nice place, handy for the Cove
Nice cottage - decent living space for a family of 4, for a week. Comfortable beds. Useful to have 2 showers (one electric). Plenty of seats in lounge. Kitchen fine ...with all necessary bits for holiday cooking. Comfortable seating area at back and front. Parking easy across the road in centre, as long as you don't come back during the afternoon. Best part of all is the location....3-5 mins from Cove itself. Great walk over the Hill to Man O 'War and Durdle door. Easy access to the remarkable Fossil Forest.

Fantastic cottage, fantastic location! Had everything you needed, very much enjoyed by 3 generations and our dog. Thank you!

Clean, warm, comfortable and great location
The cottage is beautifully furnished, warm, comfortable and well equiped. Much thought has gone into making this an ideal holiday home. I could not recommend this more highly. We enjoyed the location with the stunning coast and pubs, restraunts and cafe's on your door step. The 2 parking permits provided are essential and the car park is close by so that was very convenient. I would add a word of warning. If trying to be quick when unloading on arrival or departure you have to park on the double yellow lines outside the cottage and climb a small grass bank and up a couple of steps to access the cottage. This was not a problem and almost part of the charm of the cottages elevated position and location. However this process would not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

Great cottage in ideal location.
We've visited Lulwind for a few years and the quality is very high. You cannot fault the upkeep of the cottage or the improvements we've seen. We love the log burner too. The location is so close to the cove our three year old is happy to walk to breakfast in the cafe overlooking the water and the dog enjoys a swim before returning. The pub does good food and beer & there are other hotels with restaurants if required. Lulworth Castle surprised us this year and is the most interesting castle I've ever visited.

Lovely cottage in a gorgeous setting
Lulwind was the perfect base for exploring such a beautiful area. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable. The car parking using the permit for the car park over the road was really easy. Excellent facilities on the doorstep, pub with lovely food a few doors down, lovely café over the road, water sports kayaking and coast steering over the road and many beautiful walks from the cottage. Garden nicer than I thought it would be from the photos, steep but bigger than expected with amazing views over to Stair Hole. Dorset Holiday Cottages were great ,easy booking and very helpful and efficient, first time I had used them. Lovely area, excellent holiday enjoyed Corfe castle, Durdle door, Twyneham and Portland castle and Chesil beach and all the lovely walks nearby as well as kayaking to Durdle door, Thankyou.

Lovely clean cottage. Well situated.
The cottage was lovely and clean. Well stocked with crockery and cutlery etc. Towels were good size and quality. Nice to have a tray of tea, coffee, biscuits left for us.The only minor negatives was the duvet cover and pillows were thick and rough cotton. Too hot on bed. Front garden hedge could have been lower so that you could look out to your left. Cottage was a good size, and furniture was comfortable. Another thing to note was phone rang a fair few times with cold callers. Which was slightly irritating.Would certainly want to book this cottage again as light, airy, homely and extremely comfortable. Thank you

You could feel the care that had been put in to ensure a good holiday. How can anyone complain? I read that the back garden was steep, well c'mon who cares all the best places are harder to access, that view !!!!! is the best !!!! We sat and watched the sun go down over the cove most evenings.......Heaven. I must say that I feel rather pleased with myself for finding the cottage out of all websites etc . Many thanks again , Anne, Paul ,Sarah , Lee, baby Keaton and Bob the dog.

Well, equipped, comfortable, home from home
What a lovely week in Lulworth cove. Lulwind cottage was everything promised on the Dorset holiday website. We were a party of two couples and all were delighted with the amenities. Extra touches like, tea coffee, milk (and biscuits!) all waiting for us on arrival, even a vase of flowers on the table made it feel so welcoming. Large spacious living/dining area. Extremely well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, two showers, and large fluffy towels. Would I return? I could happily live there!

This gorgeous cottage was a real treat. It was so lovely to rent a place that wasn't furnished with second hand cast-offs but fitted out for guests comfort, thank you! Perfect location, next to great fish and chip shop, Lulworth Inn and lots of cafes. We could pop down to the beach, do cliff walks and have a pint all within minutes of the cottage. As a busy mum to three it felt like a real slice of English beach bliss, a comfortable cottage and a perfect location x

Wonderful comfortable cottage in a perfect location
This really is a wonderful home, and we were very comfortable here during our stay. We frequently rent out cottages and generally search for a good location first and then try and fit our other requirements in next (dogs, toddler, nearby pub!). The location speaks for itself, but what was so lovely was to stay in a home from home - everything you needed was supplied. Sometimes cooking in a strange kitchen with basic utensils etc can be a challenge but this was not the case at Lulwind, it had everything, even down to baby cutlery and bowls. It was spacious and light, and so comfortable. It was one of the easiest breaks away from home we've had due to the thoughtfulness of the owners and it's proximity to the wonderful walks and places to visit locally. And in addition Dorset Cottage holidays rang during our break to ensure we were happy and also posted back a left item we realised we'd forgotten once we got home. I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely come back, thank you!

High standard and very well located cottage.
Lulwind works for us very well. With a toddler and labrador we love the convenience of a short stroll to the cove. Breakfast in the Boat Shed Cafe looking out over the water is great as is waking and seeing hardy folk walking up the hill to Durdle Door whilst we're still in bed, particularly if it's raining. The Cove Inn does good food and beer and is only a few houses away. The cottage is well appointed and the log burner works well. We've stayed twice and will probably return.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and clean. everything you need, even loo roll and soap. Beds comfortable and very nicely furnished. The sea view from the garden is a difficult one though, you have to climb a very steep bank of steps, I couldn't manage it, even the dog couldn't get up past the first few steps, never mind though as the cove is only a 2 minute stroll away. The front garden gets sun in the afternoon which was nice to have lunch looking at the hills. car park permit was a god send as the daily rate to park was about £9, the car park is very busy at weekends, so if you have to nip to the shops to do your shopping on a Sunday morning you loose your space and have to park all the way up the grass hill.

Fabulous holiday home
We were so happy when we arrived at Lulwind cottage, it is everything a holiday home should be. It felt like a home from home and that is quite hard to do! Our 3 yr old son loved "his holiday home" the cottage was clean and tidy and was very light. My mother has already enquired about renting the cottage next yr on our recommendation. We had brilliant weather all week along with a great holiday home we have a fabulous time. Many thanks

Beautiful area, well equipped homely cottage: we can't wait to come back!
Today was our last full day at Lulwind and we are already talking about coming back. The cottage is so well equipped and has everything our family (Mum, Dad, two year old boy and dog) could possibly need. The area is incomparable - book ending our days with walks on the beach at the Cove were sublime. Even had a call 3 days in to ask how we were getting on. Such a find. Thank you for everything.
