Really happy with property. Facilities were much better than expected. We have stayed in many cottages over the years and this is the first one that we would be happy to live in as our house! The balcony was a lovely surprise.

We really enjoyed our stay. We found the house to be very clean and we found everything we needed. It was nice that the owners had given a lot of thought to children, we took our three year old granddaughter and she enjoyed looking at the books, dominoes etc. The house was exceptional when it comes to cleanliness.

Just the job....
Beautiful inside, lovely location for the family holiday. Kitchen and bedrooms in particular were great with loads of space and light. Scaffolding during our stay, whilst no major disruption did highlight any parking might be difficult and there might only be room for two small cars. A long German saloon or SUV is going to struggle a bit. We would have no hesitation in rebooking and really enjoyed our stay. The guy acting as warden was also really pleasant and helpful.

Very pleasant
Pleasantly presented and well laid out house, plenty of room and equipment. Sea front, town and shops walkable distance, a shop close by which sold local produce and fresh bread. Only one negative : no wifi!! This is a great sized accommodation for families, but big disappointment when we realised no wifi.

nice cottage in great location
This is a nice modern cottage and in an ideal location to walk into Swanage (about 10mins) and Dorset. The kitchen was well equipped so you can prepare basic meals. The freezer was also useful and its always nice to have a dishwasher. As others have commented there is no WiFi but it was nice to escape or just use our mobiles if necessary. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice holiday home
Comfortable accommodation and clean, if a bit dusty in lounge. Beds very firm which is good but doesn't lead to a good nights sleep ,mattress toppers would be great. New dining chairs would be an improvement, even the adults found them exceptionally low. All in all we did have a lovely holiday at Newton House again and hope to return next Easter.
Ruth
lovely house and location
The location was good just 20 minutes to the beach and city center. The house was lovely and well equipped. We did find the fans in all bathrooms were extremely loud. The kitchen chairs were very low which made it difficult for our granddaughters of 3 and 6 years to eat at the table. However we all had a lovely time and enjoyed our holiday. I would recommend it .

Very Good
Newton House is a very comfortable and cosy place to stay.It has every amenity and is ideally located for the town. There are two shops and two takeaways within a few minutes walk.Whilst it was not a big problem we noticed that the property was very noisy. Not from the outside but from the fitments. The extractor fans in each of the bathrooms sounded like Jet engines, The central heating boiler roared when operating and the washing machine could be clearly heard in the lounge through the wall.It could also benefit from a deep clean it seems that it is only cleaned where it can be seen.Never-the- less we enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable, well-equipped and peaceful accommodation in Swanage
Thank you for a good week in this comfortable and well-equipped accommodation. We enjoyed the peaceful location, easy access to the town, and the off road parking. A couple of niggles: In the middle of the first night we heard heavy clanking sounds but I was able to trace it to the radiator in the utility room which when switched off completely silenced it. Must have had some sort of airlock so a bleed would probably fix it. There was also a minor leak coming from the back of the sink in the downstairs toilet however I reached round and tightened one of the bolts which seemed to fix it too. I did call the owner about the non-recyclable rubbish bin which the refuse men refused to take as it contained food waste. They said they couldn’t have a waste food bin because of the seagulls – however everyone else seemed to have one. They advised us to put the food waste in the main bin and they would come by and sort it out. We thought a new label on the recycle bin would help as it was very difficult to read what would and wouldn’t be acceptable.Reply- Thank you for your feedback we have raised this with the owner and will resolve asap. We are pleased you had a lovely stay at Newton House.
