Henniker House 50.613234, -2.463171 Henniker House Weymouth DT4 0ARWeymouth England, United Kingdom (Directions)

Henniker House is a well-equipped town house in a busy residential area of Weymouth.  It is a short walk from the beach, marina and town centre.  The house is decorated in a modern style with hard floors downstairs and carpet on the upper floors.  The large bedroom on the 2nd floor has dual aspect.

This delightful holiday home is centrally located within the popular seaside town of Weymouth.  There are many things to enjoy, including the large, sandy beach, working harbour, Nothe Fort, Sea Life Centre, Sandworld and The Front Skatepark.  There is a wealth of eating places located throughout the town.  Rodwell trail, which begins near Henniker House, is a pleasant walking and cycling route to Sandsfoot Castle (constructed in 1539) and on to Ferry Bridge where Chesil Beach meets the causeway to Portland.

Weymouth is on the Jurassic Coast, so named because of its spectacular, unique geography and was the first natural World Heritage Site.  A short drive away is the Chesil Beach Visitor Centre which explains the geology and wildlife of Chesil Beach and Fleet Lagoon.  The Isle of Portland is famous for its lighthouse, spectacular coastline, sailing academy and views over Weymouth Bay.  This is on the South West Coast Path, which includes Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.

Lying just outside Weymouth, you can also enjoy a day out at Abbotsbury Swannery (England's only nest site for mute swans) which is overlooked by the pretty village, blessed with Britain's largest tithe barn and an excellent spot to enjoy a cream tea.

Facilities:

3 bedrooms:  1st floor: double room & twin room; 2nd floor: double room with ensuite shower room.  Main bathroom on 1st floor with shower over bath.  Ground floor WC.  Lounge: TV & DVD player, seating for 8 people.  Kitchen: double electric oven, gas hob, fridge / freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine.  Dining area: large table with seating for 6 people.  Central heating.  Enclosed courtyard to rear of house.  Parking: 1 allocated space, garage for storage of bicycles and scooters.  Travel cot (no linen) & high chair.  Linen, towels and WiFi are included.  Sorry no pets.

Excellent
Hennika house is very clean and in excellent condition, suitable for families with children. Very near to Weymouth town and beach within walking distance. Would stay there again.

Modern, practical, well-equipped family home all within a 10 minute walk of the beach.
We enjoyed a week’s break at Henniker House over the May half term. It had everything we needed and more. There was ample room for the kids and the grandparents while we had the luxury of the en-suite loft extension. It’s a few minutes’ walk from the swimming pool and the start of the Rodwell Trail while the beach was easily accessible on foot. Would highly recommend.
