Our self-catering home is a 4 bedroom detached house set in over an acre of beautiful landscaped gardens. The property is on Valley Road, which links the historic village of Corfe Castle to Swanage and is approximately 3 miles from both. There is a small convenience store, a few minute’s walk from the house and there are numerous footpaths over the Purbeck hills very close by.

There is a wide driveway at the front of the property which can accommodate 3 cars. N.B. The garage is not in use. 16 wide steps lead down to the front door and there is an alternative sloping pathway. There are double front doors, each one 86 cms wide, and a 6cm step into the hallway. The paths to the front door can be well illuminated at night by the outside lights operated from a switch in the hall next to the front door.

Ground Floor:
The hall is 4.5m by 3.5 m and has a wood floor. All doorways leading off the hall are 75cms wide. From the hallway there is a lounge with a large window overlooking the Purbeck hills and the steam railway.
Leading off the hall there is also a dining room, a smaller sitting room, a downstairs cloakroom with WC and hand basin and the kitchen.

Linking the kitchen and the main lounge is a conservatory with two sets of double doors each set of doors are 104cms wide. Both the kitchen and the conservatory have stone tiled floors. There is a step down to the conservatory from both the lounge and the kitchen the step in both cases is 23cms with a raised lip.

Leading from the conservatory through double patio doors 140cms wide, is a two tiered decking area. The large back garden is on a slope and there are numerous paths some wide and some narrow some sloped and some stepped leading to the lower part of the garden. From the decking area you can see the large ornamental pond which has been fenced off.
The kitchen has an island unit in the middle and there is a door to a small utility room. There is a door from the utility room to an outside paved area where there is a washing line and access to a storeroom, (which is built on the back of the garage). In the storeroom there is a portable barbecue.

From the hallway there is an open wooden staircase which leads to a carpeted galleried landing. Four large bedrooms lead from the landing, 2 doubles with ensuite one with a separate shower cubicle and 2 twin bedded rooms. There is also a separate family bathroom. Access to a railed balcony, which overlooks the garden and steam railway is by French doors from the two double bedrooms. There is a 10cm lipped step from the bedrooms to the balcony.
